NABA Supports 2010 MACPA High School Leaders Conference
NABA Detroit will continue to take an active role in supporting the Michigan Association of CPA's 2010 High School Leaders Conference (HSLC). The conference is usually held at the following schools: Eastern Michigan University (TBD), Oakland University (TBD), Michigan State University (TBDWestern Michigan University (TBD) and Wayne State University (TBD).
We are also seeking NABA student and professional members to represent NABA and attend the conference at each school. Please send an e-mail to info@detroitnaba.org if you are interested in participating in the conference. There is no cost to attend the conference.

Support Chapter Community Outreach - Volunteer for VITA Tax Program
The Community Outreach Committee is requesting volunteers for the 2010 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA). This year, the Chapter will contine to prepare tax returns for low-income and elderly tax payers from Metro Area Detroit. Details will be provided.
Please download and complete the VITA Sign-Up Form and e-mail it to info@detroitnaba.org if you would like to volunteer.
All volunteers are required to be certified by attending a training session hosted by the Accounting Aide Society. Visit www.accountingaidsociety.org to register for a training session this month.
ACAP and NABA Detroit Chapter Scholarship Applications Available - Apply Today!
Spring and Summer are quickly approaching and before we know it, the new fiscal year will be here! We are proactively planning for two of the Chapter's major events, the Annual Scholarship Dinner and the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP).
